Brussels, 25 June 2009 - To commemorate the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, the European Commission has just launched a photo competition entitled "Imagine a new world", open to professional and amateur photographers of all ages from across the EU. The four winning entries selected by a prestigious jury and the public will win cameras, photographic equipment, trips to European cities, and wide recognition of their talent on the European scene. KSU would like to express its solidarity with the Pharmacy students in the light of the fact that a Pharmacy final exam has been postponed by a week. Yet one has to keep in mind that for transparency's sake this was the most appropriate action to be taken. Moreover, the fact that the action was taken in due time by University authorities meant that the situation was not allowed to further deteriorate, thereby effecting the results of the students.

 

Even if the actions taken can seem prima facie unjust, the actions taken are meant to safeguard the integrity of the papers, thereby are proportionate in their nature.

 

KSU shall keep a close eye upon the outcome of the internal investigation currently under way and augurs that such cases shall be avoided in the future for the sake of student wellbeing.
